Minimum wage and you deal with agitated customers that have been transferred all over, disconnected, or on hold for a length of time.
Training is sparse. Pros Discounts on merchandise and shipping. Good working environment and supervisors were understanding learned how to work quickly and efficiently got moved to different parts of the warehouse. This place was just an ok place to work for.
It's not the type of place where you can really advance. However, you can get some good work experience under your belt. No measure of success that attributes to anything meaningful. Upper management doesn't seem to want to be engaged with their employees.
Low moral. Achievement of a High Performance Contact Center could be achieved if driven by the right team and model. There are just some things lacking to ever see this as possible. Only promotes those they favor. Very busy during holiday season but drops off in Spring so not that many hours are provided. Some of the management was laid back on nice and others were strict and intimidating.
The overall culture isn't the best, despite their efforts. They are very stingy with compensation for employees and it shows. The "perks program" that they tried to get us to push onto customers was a scam. This was the worst part about the job and I'm sure many other reps would agree.
The most enjoyable part about the job was working the slower shifts because the environment was more laid back and that seemed to be when the laid back managers were working. Pros Casual dress code. Co-workers great. Pros Generally positive environment. Cons Pay. Not a bad place if you enjoy your work. Management seems to care about employees. I called and spoke to a person who said it would be taken care of. That never happened.
Soooooo aggravating! Be careful of doing business with this company. They overcharge, don't take off promo codes or free shipping offers. It's very difficult to get through to customer service was for me , then you have to explain everything to them multiple times. They have nice products but a company that scams customers is no company I want to deal with.
When buying an item they never say the delivery time. Now after several days, they tell me that they will have it available in March. It appears that it has not been charged, but the charges for the other items to my credit card are different than the invoice. The bill is less than what they charged me. Tip for consumers: be sure of the period of time to delivery. It shows an item on stock, but must confirm calling or through the chat. Not only did my bank account have my payment go through but they also took a second unauthorized payment for the same amount from my account.
The billing department people are the worse uncaring people to talk to. One star because I have to. I bought a few things for their website and it said free shipping on their website like it does for so many companies. I will never purchase anything from them ever again. Very bad business trying to fool your customers and exploit them for more money! Ordered from their catalog and received the items and looked nothing like what was pictured.
So called for a retire and took 3 weeks to get a label. Then I mailed it back with the label they sent to me and that has been 3 weeks sent out. Called and they said I needed the tracking number which I never got when I mailed it. They said no tracking number no refund. So now it's up to me to find a traction number so I can get a refund.
Needless to say I have had no luck getting a tracking number for a package sent out 3 weeks ago. Talked to a manager also and she was very rude and snotty. Never will order there again and will tell everyone I know now to. Tip for consumers: Do not purchase from them. I would like to order from LTD Commodities, but shipping is too high. Would complete my order if I can get free shipping. I would think that a mail order catalog would include shipping in their prices.
Watch your credit card they sneak that Item much smaller than stated, want me to pay to return. After 17 phone call threatened BBB. The sent back response ok we will refund total amount attached I return label. No such attachment. Avoid company at all costs. It's a scam. I ordered from LTD Commodities. I paid via PayPal. The problem was they would not accept PayPal for the payment.
I tried to contact customer service, 4 times via phone and 2 via chat but they were not available. I finally wrote an email that received a response. They response said the customer service rep couldn't see details of the order and they don't know why PayPal wasn't charge.
I ended up writing a check. But I feel like something is wrong with a company that changes payment methods after shipping. They just never tried. Tip for consumers: Customer service is poor and the cost of return make returning item not practical.
Don't buy anything you are not willing to keep no matter how bad it is, cause it cost too much to return it. Products used: Slippers, couch and chair covers, bedspread I kept all because shipping cost too much to return them.
Slippers were way small, but with return shipping and restocking fee I just kept them. Do not waste your money buying live plants from LTD Commodities. It was a ball of dirt about the size of a medium size strawberry with about 10 blades of greenery about 4 - 5 inches tall growing out of it. Or at least I hope it's growing. Hasn't done anything since it was planted immediately upon receipt 6 days ago.
They were about 2 to 3 inches across and were all the same green to blue tipped color. Pretty, but not different colors. They are doing well, but hens and chicks are hard to kill. Pampas grass as small as this piddly thing probably will not survive, but I will work on it. Still haven't received them, nor the order before them! Completely frustrated as they were part of care packages that I was putting together to hand out for Christmas.
At this rate, I may have both orders for the 4th of July :. Company added a cost for Perks. I never saw anything about it in the catalog. I called to be sure I wouldn't get billed again and person wasn't very nice.
Will not order anything again and also telling others. Don't order from here!
